What is Busroot?

Will Busroot work with our existing machines?
Yes. Busroot is built to connect any machine, old or new, from modern PLC-driven equipment to legacy assets with no digital output. Our universal machine connectors and managed shop floor network get every asset online without replacing what you already have.
How long does it take to get set up?
Most customers are up and running quickly. Busroot is a cloud-based platform, so there is no on-premise server to provision. Once machines are connected you start seeing live data straight away, and the platform grows with you as you add more assets and features.
Do we need to install servers or IT infrastructure?
No. Busroot runs in the cloud and connects to your machines over a managed shop floor wireless network. There is no heavy IT infrastructure to buy or maintain, and complete data backups and API access are included.
What is OEE and does Busroot calculate it automatically?
OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) measures Availability, Performance, and Quality to show how effectively equipment is used. Busroot calculates OEE automatically from live machine data, so you get an accurate, real-time picture without manual data entry or spreadsheets.
How does Busroot track downtime?
Busroot monitors machine state in real time and logs stops automatically. Operators can add reason codes in seconds from the tablet interface, and you can analyse downtime by machine, shift, reason, or SKU to find and fix what is costing you output.
Can operators interact with Busroot on the floor?
Yes. Busroot provides tablet and signage interfaces so operators can see the current job, follow work instructions, complete tasks and SOPs, and report downtime reasons - all without interrupting the line.
Does Busroot monitor energy usage?
Yes. Busroot captures energy consumption alongside production data, so you can see energy efficiency per machine, per job, and over time - helping you cut waste and reduce costs.
Can we get alerts when something goes wrong?
